Anna Goes to Prison: Chapter 50
Anna desperately gasped for air, her toes twitching and curling up as she struggled to get her lungs functioning properly against the guard's brutally tight grip. Her vision was already starting to fade as she realized to her horror she was close to blacking out, but she could make out Merida snickering at her misery as she watched with her arms remaining folded. "Alright. That's enough. Release her throat." Like an obedient dog, the guard did as Merida said. Anna collapsed to the sticky floor, clutching onto her chest and trying to get her breath to return to normal. "What...what the hell was that?" She could barely speak and was wheezing between words. "Oh, look, she still hasn't figured it out." Merida made a tsking sound to express her supposed disapproval. "Punch her in the face. Hard." An instant later, the guard's fist had flown into Anna's nose. She felt it crunch as she fell over backwards from the force of it, her head colliding on the pavement with a deafening thud.

"Look, I'm really not in the mood for this right now." Anna crossed her arms over her knees in a futile bid to fully shield her unmentionables from Merida's eyes. "But if you find my secretary on the way out, I'm sure she'll be able to make you an appointment." "Oh, so yer trying to tell jokes now, are ya?" There was a mad glint in Merida's gaze that resembled a lioness focusing on a zebra. "Too bad I didn't seek yer company out for yer comedy. Yer a hard lass to git where I want ya, ye know that?" "Is that so? Why haven't you tried cornering me in my cell then? I'm currently by myself there, but I'm guessing you had something to do with that." "Oh, you mean Punzie's little 'accident'? Most unfortunate, Crazy Frog rolling her ball over her foot by mistake." "THAT WAS NO MISTAKE!" Anna cupped her mouth, horrified that she had allowed herself to scream like that. She took a second to make sure she hadn't inadvertently summoned someone else into the bathroom before catching her

Anna reflexively jumped to her feet and grabbed Giselle, shaking her by the shoulders as her fingernails went into her flesh hard enough to draw blood. "Are you out of your damn mind?" She was struggling to keep her voice down so as not to attract any unwanted attention. "Do you have any idea what could happen to us if we were overheard by anyone talking about something like that?" "Oh, wow. You're hurting me. You really are as strong as I say you are!" "I'm not playing here, Giselle!" Anna's whisper had raised itself into something resembling a hushed snarl. "This isn't some country club like you seem to be convinced it is! You can't just go casually chatting about committing murder in a maximum security prison! Do you want for them to string us up?" "Sunshine." "What?" "You got my name wrong. I'm called 'Sunshine' now, because I fill everyone's lives with..." She was interrupted by a swift slap in the face from Anna. "Don't you ever say something like that to me again! Do you

Anna Goes to Prison: Chapter 47
The prisoner rec room wasn't exactly a luxurious spot to attempt to relax, but the inmates themselves were probably at least partly to blame for it being in such poor shape. Every nice thing the staff had provided for them had been almost completely destroyed. There was a pool table with several missing balls which the girls instead used to play cards. A couple of vending machines had several of the buttons damaged beyond repair due to the convicts hitting them too hard. A television near the ceiling of the corner of the room was forever stuck on The Weather Channel (as though anyone there cared about what traffic would be like tomorrow) because some dumb bitch with a fat ass had sat on the remote control ages ago. And like most things in the prison, everything about it smelled terrible, like a bad bar where the staff never bothered to empty out its ash trays. Still, Anna had taken to going there lately as a way to avoid having to spend too much time in the yard after the unfortunate

Lockdown in Anna's cell block ended shortly after that. She was happy to have clothes on her back once again (the heavy "companion" chained to her leg? not so much), but was so enraged over Tiana getting released from Frozen Heart after what she had done to Rapunzel that she could hardly keep her head on straight. Often she would close her eyes and try to picture inside her head the most brutal way possible to murder her (cooking her alive seemed like a just punishment given she was a chef and all), and even that wouldn't be enough to give her solace, as Rapunzel was still missing a foot regardless of what fate happened to her attacker. Feeling dead on her feet, she glumly clutched onto the broom which she was supposed to be using for sweeping up the floors near one of the prison's restrooms (where all of the toilets were, of course, lined up next to each other with no stall doors or partitions, because heaven forbid the inmates ever got anything resembling privacy when relieving

Unsurprisingly, the next several days became a blur for Anna. As the word "lockdown" would suggest, the prisoners were all kept locked in their cells 24/7. This meant that no one was ever let out for showers, or yard time, or anything. Meals (such as they were) had to be be brought to them on trays. At least three times a day (some days it at least felt like more), an officer would march by, and one by one each inmate would have to stand up straight for roll call. It was all tedious and boring for obvious reasons, of course, but Anna hardly cared. Hell, she didn't even mind that she and all of the other convicts were forced to remain naked (although the combined body odor of several dozen unwashed females housed so closely together did become a bit overwhelming for her nostrils sometimes). She kept worrying about Rapunzel. No matter how many times she asked the guards for an update on her condition, they never had an answer for her (or at least claimed they didn't). The cell felt

It was pure chaos after that. The prisoners all began screaming and jeering, forming a mob amongst themselves and trying to get closer to the action. The guards who were available were making some kind of baricade with their bodies to try to keep things from escalating, while Rapunzel was still wailing endlessly, tears absolutely streaming down her face as she looked at what was left of her foot in total disbelief. Tiana kept struggling against the men who were holding her in place, and everything kept getting louder with each passing second, as the inmates demanded to move past the officers (who were very much outnumbered) to get a closer look at what was happening. Suddenly there was a flash in the sky. A cold breeze swept past everyone, along with a small flurry of snow. And there stood Elsa, one of her gloves off, her hand pointed upwards. She looked upset in a manner Anna had never seen her before. "EVERYONE QUIET! NOW!" In an instant, everyone was silent. The prisoners all

"And how do you know you weren't just hallucinating? A lot of women have lost their marbles in the hole." In the past, Rapunzel's expected reaction to her story would've been enough to make Anna want to strangle her, but she was so gratified to have someone to talk to after her stint in isolation that she almost welcomed it. Nevertheless, she would at least feign her anger with her in order to keep the conversation going. Rapunzel was still quite difficult to even get to talk since she had gotten the news of her imprisoned husband's violent attack. "Aren't you concerned for my safety even a little? I mean doesn't it bother you that Bloody Mary knows my secret?" Rapunzel took a moment to look away from the punching bag (and why did the prison have those? were stronger inmates really in anyone's best interest?) which had been holding her attention for the last several minutes to look at Anna. "Bitch, please. You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out she's probably always

"Need some company?" Merida flung the half-eaten fruit to the floor, where it rolled just close enough to Anna's toes for her to feel its sticky dampness. Almost as quickly, Merida took her hat and tossed it towards the left handed corner of the ceiling, her aim apparently quite precise as it remained there as though an invisible hat rack was waiting for it. It didn't take Anna long to figure out that there must've been a hidden security camera there, meaning that Merida wanted this meeting to be kept private. "How...how did you get in here?" Anna was still trying to fully process what was happening. The uninvited guest leaned back against the wall, folding her arms like a high school bully with the intention of stealing lunch money in some 80s teen comedy. "I have me ways of opening doors around here. One of me many hidden talents, ye might say." "So you stole the keys?" Anna aimlessly walked in circles, desperate to maintain a grip on her sanity as she did countless laps around her bleak cell. She had given up on trying to figure out how long it had been since she was thrown in the hole. This was a given since her cell had no clock, leaving her with few methods for being able to tell time other than trying to keep track of when her meals were served, along with one hour a day when she was let out of her cell. During this period, she would wait in line behind the other unfortunate girls who shared her situation, watching their naked bottoms move slowly as they each dumped the contents of their buckets into a toilet one by one. Afterwards, she was placed in handcuffs and shackles and allowed to go outside (weather permitting) in a small caged area, where she would do her usual activity of pacing under the watchful (not to mention needlessly excessive) eyes of two armed guards. She rubbed her forehead, which felt like it was on the brink of exploding at
